When you buy an axe from Gränsfors Bruks they attach the "Axe book" to every blade. It is a short booklet which gives the history of Gränsfors Bruks, the ideals they have and a lot of functional info on the various axes. there are also sections on axe throwing, sharpening and some information on splitting, limbing and stacking wood. It struck me as I saw Bill's recent post about how to draw a khukuri that it would be very nice to have the same thing for the HI khukuris.
I was thinking that Howards FAQ would make an excellent starting place. I realize that it is a rough draft only but the amount of information that it contains is extreme and a printout attached to their khukuri would be appreciated by any non-forum HI user. Of course it takes time to edit the book and eventually some cost would be involved in getting it printed in a nice looking form, which I am sure even those with net access would want a copy and a small charge could easily cover the cost of the book.
Something to consider, I have a printout of the FAQ on hand and the response to it is always very positive. The URL, for those who have not seen it is :
