Along with one of his Chinese minions :)

I know that the small bugger is not very good but somehow made me happy, because its a gift and was not counting on it, now all i need to do is figure out is how to take my super-cute 4 yr old daughter with her teddy-bear looking shih-tzu to a walk in a forest and explain to eventual passer-by why do i need BK-9 or hopefully they will just run away, 9 inch blades don't go good with 9 inch beards in my country :D but i have to test it ......

one more thing....did had the "feeling" when holding it for the firs time.... ITS GOOOOD

Congratulations on the 9 you will never regret getting it
On a side note I kinda like the small ka-bar you got too mostly the blade shape.

Congrats! :)

......that "feeling" is what I experience everyday when I hold the king......just like the first time!

...don't forget to post pics of your walk in the forest!:)

Ok so Masha (my kid) an me went for a walk...we ditched Snoop the shih-tzu cause its useless (Masha said :/ ) and went adventuring.. my kid is the best, walking the whole route with no complaining so....

Awesome, both your King(tm) and the pics. Oh, and the Studer t-shirt, for the analog tape audiogeeks in the house..... ;-)

MY CUSTOM "DANGLER"...perfect fit :)
So this "matičar", i think you call it "screw locker" is kind of emotional to me, my mother gave it to me she is a M.D. in Croatian mountain rescue, she was a doctor on expedition to Himalayas, made helicopter rescuer (literate translation) at age of 55!! You know...wonder woman...anyways she told me its her favorite, 30 year old austrian "STUBAI" carabiner which had seen most of the worlds peeks and it can still hold in excess of 2 CARS??!..now i know it pretty S.F. but my point is not to brag with my mothers antique climbing equipment, but to ask WHAT CAN THAT STEEL BE??? Well i can tell you one thing about it all the "damage" visible to eye is somehow invisible to touch...it is slick as it is made of "teflon" (i dunno how ya call it...frying pan non stick stuff) all around... i mean if you took a blind braille instructor and let him feel it, he would told you it is as slick as an oil slick...it is not D2, it was made in 70-ties, extremely hard, i think its rated to 60 kN. and it as good to touch as woman's thighs...

That's definitely worth holding onto, very sentimental. Your mom sounds like a hell of a woman as well! Ethan or Gus would know way more about this carabiner.
