The King Incoming

Got the king coming my way. BK9. Got the micarta scales too. I will see if I like the sheath but if not, no worries. Got plenty of leather to make it some new pants. May make a combo of it. Pair up one of my smaller carbon steel knives (because mixing carbon and stainless would be just wrong). I will probably mix brands however. ESEE 3, Mora number 1, Izula 2...who knows.

But the King. Getting the King...very excited.

Next up? BK10. Love that thing too but had to get the BK9 first. Have the BK7 already. Here are the pants I made for that. If I don't make it a combo sheath, I will probably make the BK9 Sheath essentially identical. I will improve a couple of things but it will look exactly the same...a set...'cause that's how my OCD rolls!

Awesome looking sheath on your 7. Congrats on the 9, your gonna love it. I go with the 3/3 blade method. Usually a 9( sometimes a 4) then a 16 and a mora robust as well as my leatherman surge.... I have a bk24 on the way which will replace my mora as my neck knife... Anywys enjoy your 9 and beat the snot out of it... It'll take everything and ask for more
 
Gratz on your incoming 9. I just picked up my first set of knives, as I am just learning and getting into bushcraft. After many many hours of research and soul searching I went with the BK9 as well and pairing it with a BK 14. I may add a Silky 210 folding saw later but I am trying to stay minimal and the King paired with it's little brother should handle anything I need them to do.
