My favorite knive of all time was my ASH-1 LE. Well, she's been dethroned. My SAR 6 has nudged her aside. It's just that good. What surprised me most was the improvement in execution. Busse builds a better knife today than it did when I bought my ASH. But more than that, the handle on the has improvements from the handle on my SAR 4. Talk about an eye for detail. If Mr. Busse re-introduces the Steel Heart with a nuclear meltdown the SAR 6 will pass on her crown. Until then… Thank you Mr. Busse for a job well done.

I agree... totally loving my SAR6s !! and yes, I've been waiting for that NMFSH LE for years now! :D

I still think the ASH1 is a classic.. but I do like the idea of a NM Steelheart... "that could be the new NMASHII that Jerry can come out with!

I wonder what the shop would charge for a nuclear meltdown treatment? Love those rounded off edges.

Muk first, but yes, another release of the ASH is something that I would sell my little toe for.

I agree with the OP completely on this one. My Skinny ASH has been dethroned. ;)

My all time number one midsize blade (SAR-6) followed by my former number one (Skinny ASH-1 modded to be close to what the SAR-6 already is from the factory).

Spine shot. The SAR-6 at only 1.5 oz heavier is a far superior chopper.

Interesting observation. I got rid of my satin ASH's b/c the edges were too harsh. A NM ASH1 would be a treat. A NMSHSHII or NMFSH would be interesting for sure.

I love all this love for the SAR6. I'm in love with my pumpkin6 and ditched my skinny for it. Did I mention I love the SAR6? :D

You all are going to make me buy a sar 6 yet! :)

If you need further enticing; you can buy a SAR-6 SE for considerably less than I paid for my ASH-1 LE. If otherwise disregard this posting, put your hand on your wallet and quietly leave the room.
