so i finely broke down and dived into the bigger knife world
so...
I GOT A BK9!!!



i love the thing
i experienced some minor chipping but i think thats due to my inexperience at chopping
i think i may need to get some more big knives and maybe a few more becker knives

Sorry to hear you got some minor chips, but one of the good things about 1095 is that its very easy to sharpen. Should be an easy enough fix if its not too bad.

If your interested in another large Becker the BK4 is a fun one.... Just ask Jonny :D

the scales are tiger birch if i remember correctly
a guy on the esee forum made them(i forget his username/name)
yeah it should be easy to sharpen out but i just got to get used to freehand sharpening this monster
 
The stripped blade looks good with those scales. Looks like you're having fun. Gotta get me a 9. And a 4. And a 5. And a 15.
 
Very nice! I just got one myself. I bought it as my college graduation gift to myself.

Then I also picked up an 11 and some scales for it, should be here today. I love these knives.

I don't post much but I sure like it here.

Thanks for your purchase and I am glad you are having fun with it........ If your camera can handle the detail I would like to see the chipping.......... Real little ones kinda come with chopping but if large ai would like to see ........
