This is my kit that is made up.

This is part of the kit that is the empty. Notice the bino part is empty too.

The contents of the pouch is: binos, survival cards, kool aid & boulin packets, orange space blanket, pack of gum, titaium spork, Spyderco hand saw, small leatherman multi-tool, rat-3 in 1095 steel, ceramic sharpening rod, first aid kit, red bandana, Doug Ritter pocket survival pack, 50lb. fireline fishing line, sweedish fire steel, and tissue paper in gerber bag.

The Doug Ritter psp with items I have added: Boy scout hot spark, # 8 big fishing hook ( to use mainly as a gaft hook ), I added some more sm. fishing hooks, a swiss army tweezers, 1 scalpel blade.

This is the Medical adventures ultra lite .3 first aid kit. I added a photon flash light clipped to the pouch, chapstick, burnjel, 2 gerber baby bottle bags.

This is the Nalgene ajustable shoulder water bottle carrier: The nylon knife sheath, the pouch for the mini mag flash light, & the pouch for the U-dig-it are sewn on the bottle carrier.
Project II: hollow handle contents are cotton/vaseline mix, 1 scapel blade, 20lb. nylon fishing line wrapped around a paper clip, 2 needles, sweedish fire steelscout model, water bottle, snow peak titainum solo pot used as a canteen cup, the U-dig-it folding hand shovel, and another firesteel with container of cot/vas. mix. and my wifes project II
well that is my shoulder kit it weighs almost 8lbs. There are several items of redundency fire steels and cot/vas mixs knives 1 small light thin in blade for mainly food prep. Also there is a med to large knife7.5" blade for all other camp chores and as a last resort self preservation. This is my ready to go kit. The last few pics are how i carry my kit pretty much anyware.

The pic where I have it slung on my left shoulder the water bottle is in front. My left armcovers the Project II and I mean even if someone is standing right beside me they can not see a knife and there fore these who might not approve of large knives in public can not see it. Out of sight out of mind. whether I am taking my beagle for a walk in the park or just in public I carry this kit with me. With my binos wrapped around my neck and water bottle right there in front people think there goes a water drinking bird watcher. And if ever asked about what is in the pouch in back I say never leave home with out your first aid kit. I once slipped and cut my hand and will never be without one again and leave it at that. when away form the public and those that i do not know I sling it over my head and around my shoulder where it is slung across my back. This is very comfortable for me to carry it this way.

The last way I carry the kit is behind my feet in front of the seat of my truck or some one elses vehicle.

This is my never leave home without it kit. Add in a filson hat and pair of leather gloves with a 4" cuff and you are good to go.
Take care all
