Seems this week more than any other the "Knife Gods" are showing their face in my everyday life...and its only been two days!
Yesterday I used my Spyderco Native at work every 5 mins. It seemed all kinds of cutting tasks kept coming up and landing right at my feet. Then on my way home from work I stopped at a gas station to fill up and get a snack. Some guy in a Prius was doing a bang up job of super gluing his mirror back to the side of his car. I was watching him as he went and asked 10 people for something and came up empty handed every time. The guy finally makes it inside and he is looking for someone with knife because he needs to cut some rope. Maybe a Prius is held together by rope and glue?
Then comes tonight. I came home and found out that my roosters had beat up one of my hens. I looked her over and she had a large chunk of skin on her head peeled to the side. After I cleaned up the wound with peroxide I got out the good old SAK. Out come the tweezers to pick some feathers and dirt out of the wound so I could really get it clean. Then out come the scissors to trim back the feather so they stay out of the wound and the skin can lay back down where it should go.
If you told me I would preform "chicken surgery" with my SAK I would have laughed you out of town!
You never know when you'll need a knife!!!! But all you guys know this already!
