I have wanted a Military or especially a ParaMilitary for a long time. However, I absolutely could not swing the prices I frequently saw from 2nd or 3rd party sellers. And then today, as I was taking a break from weed eating, I decided to peruse a large online retailer. Low and behold, they had Paras in stock at (I'm no expert by any means, but I believe to be) a reasonable price! I am beyond excited. Did anybody else get one? Are they still hard to get or am I just out of the loop?

Congrats, it's a great knife. I've noticed them popping up in several places lately in limited quantities. You still have to get a little lucky to catch one... that's not on eBay.

Yeah I'm pretty wary about the bay

Maybe it's just me, but they aren't hard to find at all, at least the regular CPM-S30V versions.. Maybe the sprint run versions are, but I wouldn't want to pay through the nose for those on secondaries..

I have another PMII arriving today :) Only knife to kick away my BM's for the time being (maybe even indefinitely ;)).. Like surfingringo says, once you hold a spydie, you'll be bit! lol

Huh, maybe I just wasn't looking right. Either way, I'm excited to have pulled the trigger on one. I have high expectations,I hope it exceeds them! Oh yeah, spyderco does it right. My uncle carrying his stainless police got me into good knives. I tried to like benchmade, but just couldn't for a few reasons. Maybe sometime. Yep, surgingingo got it right with that!

Glad you were able to snag one. I think I've bought four within the last month or so. I'm done buying them...for now :)

WOW, would you happen to have one in 204p? I would love to snag one of those.

Not yet. I have the camo/satin, camo/black. With black/satin, black/black on the way.

I was on the KW email list for the 204p, but I guess I was too far down the list to get one. At this point I couldn't really justify it even if one became available.

But then again, how does someone justify buying four Paramilitary 2's? I've seen pics with a dozen or so of them though. :)

It's so interesting to hear of people having 4-5-12 paramilitaries. That's mind boggling (but awesome) to me. I can't collect because it's just not possible, but if I did I think I'd go for different patterns and stuff. Then again, if you have the funds why not get a bunch of a knife you love, right? ^ That up there, that's a serious paramilitary fan.

Congrats on the knife. I honestly never really liked the looks of the knife until I got it. I posted a couple of those "what's all the hype with the pm2" threads. Then I finally broke down and got one. Guess what?? Once I opened the box and took a look at the knife in person...I STILL wasn't convinced! Hehe. Then I started carrying it and using it. Ahh, what a great knife. Spydercos are always like that for me. The more I use them, the more I appreciate their design and hence, the more beautiful they become. It's kind of opposite to the experience I've had with some other knives where I've bought what looked cool and everyday I had to use it I liked it a little less. I like my spydies a little more each day! Spyderco seems to have the ability to build me what i need, not what I think I want! Then after just a short time with their knives i realize that what I need and what I want are actually the same thing! Sal and crew just figured it out before i did! ;-) Beautiful. It's all about the user experience!

I hear ya, I have a black/satin coming in tomorrow, and I am having a hard time deciding between a southard or a domino and justifying it to. I think one pm2 will satisfy me in that model. Also have 566 ordered. Geesh where does it stop!

I know exactly what you mean, and I think you summed it up really well. Spyderco just does it right when it comes to useful knives.
