With kidcongo's post about a slicer CRK.
I thought it was a great idea so, I happen to have this "old" Insingo blade with nowhere to go. I did a flat grind and took the "shoulder" down to .015".
This is a great slicer now. No I won't be scraping paint with it or cutting 100 Lb of cardboard into 4" squares, but it's a great whittler, twine cutter, apple slicer.
When I want to go "heavy", I'll fit my normal Insingo blade.:)

Collectors, avert your eyes.

Nice job! Can't beat a thin blade for slicing, but I think I'll stick with my 21's original blade. (I can use my Opinel #8 carbon for surgery:D.)

Very nice! Has a little of that front-to-back brushed finish that the very early Sebenzas had as well. Well done!

Very nice, I've got a small regular that's has a regrind on it. They do make excellent slicers.
I've always been curious if it's a pain to remove the lugs.

I think it will actually cut cardboard better, now. An Opinel is what I use to break down boxes and like the Opinel, this regrind will pass through easily and resharpen quickly. I like your modification a lot.

Thank you everyone, just a little change can mean a lot on a blade.
Ajack60, PM to you now.

Thanks for the pics Gull Wing. That's definitely interesting to see.
Hare's mine with a re grind. I was told it was a Krein, but his stamp is not on it, then I read he doesn't always stamp his grinds.
The first pic is a comparison pic
