I just watched the "Hunted" man I wish that I could forge a knife that fast. It sure makes a knife look easy. Is a flint knife that easily made or does it take a lot more inginutity than on the film. It is quite the unquite knife style and man, what the different fight scenes. Does everyone like the knife style or is it a hollywood style knife, I know it made it into the blade magazine, but is it actually a knife that a person would use a lot.

The knife seen in Blade magazine was made by TOPS. That is not a custom knife. The original design for this knife was created by Dave Beck and it is a much nicer knife. Check out the Beck Wilderness Survival Knife on the site below.

I find the design interesting, but would not want to own one. I don't find the design to all that utilitarian. It is however a popular model for both TOPS and Dave.

Dave Beck is the man to talk to. I have one of his Wilderness Survival Knives, (serial #564.)

Just do a search and you'll find dozens of pages on the knife.

Here's a picture of mine...
