Hi, I was just curious about the knife featured in SOG's promo demo where the knife splits a .45ACP bullet in half  . It looks like a Tigershark to me... but it has no serrations and no powercoat... Could someone please enlighten me, as I really want to own that knife.:D
PS. Where or how could i buy it (I live in Sydney, Australia:o ), as I looked through the sog products page on their website, and nothing even closely resembles it. :(

I'm pretty sure the knife is a SOG Tigershark, one of the older ones that didn't have the powdercoat finish or the serrations.

If you don't get an answer from the SOG representatives (they're very good about answering questions here), there is another way you can ID the knife and find out where to buy one of your very own.

You'll love the Tigershark, everyone in this forum who has one raves about them.

Thanks for your swift reply, varko!
I do have a Tigershark, the new one... its just in the mail atm! If the knife is an old tigershark, and from what I read in the forum is true. Then the chances of me being able to acquire one is fairly slim... If is it indeed an old SK-5 tiger shark in the demo ... how can SOG market the quality of their knives on a model that is discontinued and can't be readily bought? There are alot of the SOG models like the X-42 field that aren't even in the SOG product list on their website:confused:

As long as SK-5 is available I see no problem using the same knife logo using a SK-5 knife.

X-42 was discontinued because it is made of BG-42 steel which is now too expensive for them to buy.
