The making thread is here:

Since I got back into blades in a bigly way I wanted something else to show my devotion to the Oracle of the Sharp Steely Object (OSSO).
It's a Wharncliffe of course.
Sort of sharp...

Decided to dull it down after thinking about my pockets.
Actually if I do it in bronze, it'll hold a decent edge!
Next I'm working on them lanyard thingys...

:) I envision the ring part being a belt with a sheath .

 With a tiny sheath knife ! :p

I don't know if the images are going to show up. If not, I'll try to remember to edit the post when I get home.

When doing enameling
1. Use real glass or epoxy resin enamel.
The surface needs a gripping texture or design under enamel
3. Create a lip around the edge that has a small channel in the inside edge to hold it in the enameled area.
4 If you create small individual areas squares, diamond shape design, or abstract it is not likely to crack a whole. I alot of great tips online.

Thanks!
I did that ring about three years ago and have learned some things since then.

:) If that is actual antique and functional , it probably was used with a poison coating .:poop:

 Or maybe to slice fruit ? :p

I won't listen to anybody who says they aren't!

I like DocJD DocJD 's idea that they were poisoned.

Specifically, from the golden dart frog, Phyllobates terribilis. One of these frogs has enough poison to kill two African bull elephants, or up to 20 humans. Use with caution.

Pics or it doesn't happen ! Golden dart frog (Phyllobates terribilis ), here is the bad, bad boy :

Here are others (two Dendrobates), just as cute and deadly :

All these live in South America.
Pretty sure the Dayaks in Indonesia use some cute orange/black and cyan blue/black frogs (Dendrobates), too, for poisoning their blowgun darts. Have found the said Dendrobates frogs, but they are still South American. Well...
I love frogs.

I could see some inspiration here for knife scales...

Cool ring, by the way (first, swayback one). However, I would be afraid to hurt my fingers. The snap-out, two-bladed version seems more purposeful.
