The knife that broke

My recent experiences with trying to find the right Bowie knife reminds me of an experience I had about 20 years ago or more.

I bought a Bowie knife kit from, as I recall, Tandy Leather.

The knife was pretty, but then I dropped it.

The blad broke in half.

I paid less than twenty bucks for it so I was'nt that upset, but it kinda killed my passion for knife kits.

Is there anyone that sells a kit knife that is any good?

Grohmann makes kit versions of their knives. May be worth looking in to.

I think Fallknives sells a fairly good sized one. It is definately some of the better knife material out there.
