Ok, so I open the box, unwrap the paper, and I see this huge knife, was expecting BATAC to be smaller, I looked at the handle and immidiatly it appeared too wide. I tried to switch between reverse grip and regular grip and it felt really awkward, almost even droped it. At that point I knew which of the knife I'd sell. But seeing how badly I handled the knife, I couldn't believe that even the worst shaped knife would be so unusable, so I desided to mess around with it a bit. This is where the reall surprise came in.

After 2 minutes the handle didn't feel wrong, whats more it has never taken me less time to get used to the knife. This knife grows on you quick, after 10 minutes it felt like I have caried this thing to hell and back with me, as if I had it for years. I was really amazed and this thing just keeps on surprising me. It no longer feels, bulky, big, heavy or wierd, insted it goes exactly where I want it to before I do anything. Just amazing, and the best part is, it keeps geting easier and easier to wield, hold, chop, strike, use and what ever with every poassing minute.

I have done a compleat 180 on the knife in minutes, any thought of selling it only returned to my mind just right now when I was gona write that I'm not going to.

Now to GW, the only reason I grabed it to be honest, was because it felt like a rare item, I wanted to resell it later, get slightly more cash, and get that BA3, or the mean street. However once I got it out of the box, I knew this would be my EDC, and I wouldn't wanna trade it for much else. For its purpose and size I think its a perfect knife. Honestly I don't believe there can be better, at least for me. I wanted the black and red but got the tan one by mistake, and now I realize that was a great mistake, and worked out in my favor. Knife from the get go felt comfortable in hand, and most importantly gave compleat point and blade control. Now I just wish I got myself two of them, for when this one gets messed up.

I'm not going to mention here the multiple reasons why I didn't post this yesterday, but only gona say that a lot of my stuff became half of what they used to be, or even thirds.

Great knifes, no other way to put it, this is what I wanted when I started out looking for a good knife, I have absolutly no regrets about geting these two, and unfortunatly I'm gona buy more in the future. The knifes are just incredible. Big thanks to everybody who took time to answer my questions, thanx for the company while I waited for the blades, and special thanx, to Jerry and Skunk. Great knifes, great price, fast delivery and a real pleasure to be around all of you guys, have fun and cut things up.

Quick, take one last look at your bank account. It will be the last time it looks so good.

Considering the amount of money I got there right now after this buy, that sounded really depressing. Made worse but the fact that above statement is probably correct.

I already have some plans for this weekend and GW, wanna see how good is it at carving stuff, just gona spend afternoon cuting something out of a stick, enjoying the california sun, just relaxin. Went camping the weekend before I ordered the knifes though, a messed up throwing axe, and a toothless saw, were the resolt of that, but it was fun. So the BATAc, will see mostly practice and more geting used too then actual outdoor action in the next few weeks

All offers to buy, sell, or trade are to occur in the exchange. Warning issued.

I did the same thing with the SJTAC (longer blade, same grip.) I didn't like it AT ALL upon first impression. It rapidly became one of my favorite blades!

Welcome to the madhouse!

Volk, different people have different hands I think. I dislike the BATAC handle greatly. It is uncomfortable for me, pokes my palm and fingers. But my friend loves it, says it's like a glove.

I wish Busse offered a slightly different handle variation for each model, but hey....if wishes were horses....

Amen brother!! I took on a second job just to help support my habit. :D

yap, thats how I bought these two, matter of fact, it may be that I even had three jobs (got $150 bucks for geting some a--hole to pay off the loan to our company) But I'm happy now.

Hmmm... where does it poke your fingers? My problem was that it was too bulky, to be moved around in your hand, but once I figured out how to manipulate the blade, it seased to be the problem even more so, it keeps the knife from falling out, if you do mess up.

Badger is still a big knife. I think that's part of the attraction of the anorexic version - a little easier to maneuver.

Funny. I always liked that handle. Interesting how different folks have such different responses. But we all love that INFI

Aww.... I'm still waiting for mine. I figured the palm swell would make for a better grip....

In fact, the handle designs of the Busse knives (particularly the BM) are what attracted me in the first place.

I'm blessed with average sized hands, so most knives fit me well. My personal preference is for larger knives though, so the BATAC seemed like the best compromise between size and practicality.

Now I just need an Active Duty and a BM and I'll be GTG!

Welcome to the club. I also have to admit that the Busses looked a little dull to me at first. Boy, did I grow out of that stage quick! :D
