I recently became interested in Becker knives after I purchased a Campanion off of Ebay. I immediatley wanted the BK7 & BK9. So being the cheap bastard I am, I started surfing the web for the cheapest price. I found a company called "The Knifestore", website http://www.theknifestore.com/bk&t.html
I placed my order online August 1. My total including shipping was $102.50, not bad for the two Beckers. I recieved an electronic invoice the next day. Well here it is almost three weeks later and no responses to numerous emails and phone calls. I am writing to find out if anyone on these forums has had prior experience with this company. I would like to do business with them but not at this rate. Anyone with any INFO PLEASE RESPOND!!!

Should have posted in the good, bad and the ugly maybe someone would know more the visits that forum. Just a thought and I unfortunately have no experience with theknifestore.

Give one of your fellow (sister, in this case) forumites a chance:

CR Spcialites

Rock solid service, speedy delivery, things always seem to be in stock (Cheryl, are you right across the street from the Camillus factory or what?) and prices only slightly more than you paid.

Why not support the guy who keeps this forum on the net?

from 1sks.com:
"Orders are shipped via UPS ground unless specified otherwised during ordering, when possible. It is not possible to ship UPS Ground on orders to Hawaii or Alaska - these orders will automatically be shipped UPS 2nd Day Air and your freight charge will reflect this upgrade."

thats a bummer for me, I should call and see if that policy is set in stone?

Did you ever get your knives? How long did it take?

I agree, go with 1Stop next time, they's a bunch of fine folks there.

Thanks,

Albin

I just got my Camillus USMC from The Knife Store a couple days ago. I had to wait 2 weeks, but like you, I wanted to pay as little as possible. Looking at the invoice and the box, it looks like it took them a long time to process the order for some reason, but once they did, they sent it USPS Priority Mail, and it got here in a few days. Maybe they are just slow to process online orders? I would say sit tight--it'll probably arrive in a few days. Their prices are good enough to wait a bit longer, IMO., but there is no excuse for their lack of response to your inquiries.
