So many great options hitting one right after the other! I was looking at the new H&K Axis folder and thinking, "Man, that's a lot of knife for $100. It'll be hard to beat that." Then I turn around and there's the Kizer 4403 with a titanium frame lock and a hefty blade of S35VN. What a steal! But wait, now comes the Buck 830 Marksman dropping in with a hot new lock, bearing flipper, 154CM and made in the U.S., so is that top of the heap? Not so fast, the latest is a Spyderco Manix 2 lightweight with bloody S110V for under $110 shipped?!

I just want to applaud the companies involved for throwing so much value onto the market. The competition keeps getting stiffer and, as someone who is most comfortable dropping around $100 on a blade, I feel like a kid in a candy store.

I just got the Marksman last week and I just ordered the Manix 2 with S110v I really am enjoying these awesome value knives.

Thanks for making me aware of some new knives I hadn't heard about. They all look nice from where I'm sitting.

I have the Marksman coming any day now. All the choices listed so far are excellent but I'd like to add the ZT350. It's selling on Amazon for $115. If you have to get under $100 the Kershaw Guy has seconds priced there.

The ZT 0350 is a worthy addition for sure. I was mostly just thinking about the recent releases around that price point, as there has been a pantload of new hotness hitting the streets recently.

Zt0770 and 0566 can be had around that price as well.

Authentically forgot about those two! Seriously, there are just some spectacular knives available around the $100 price point. It honestly seems like the most competitive segment of the knife market right now, and I'm eating it up.

How're you liking the marksman? I want one, just not too sure about the lock...

It's a pretty solid knife not the prettiest fit and finish so if that's important to you maybe this won't be for you. It's one of the smoothest flippers I've bought in a long time the blade shape is very useful and it came razor sharp out of box. The thing about the lock is that it's a bit rough on the fingers and it's a two hander on the closing.
