Bottem line is my buddy wants one and I am glad I spent 30 some bucks for this hunk of 1075. Now I got to war with that rum drink hole take a file to that asp.

I did two and my buddy had to do one as we laughed like hell. That little knife was like a planner them cuts were smooth. But that rum drinkin Latino was at it again them scales were a little funny and them rivits he didn't file them down quit right. My buddy wants one of them too.Nice leather sheath and twenty somthin bucks,I am a happy camper and them blades will make camp a happyer place. Uhm WOW:rolleyes:

As a immigrant, may I ask, is english your second language, or are u just naturally that talented in your writing?
BTW - RUM is good, if your old enough to drink:D

Ignore them JFinny, welcome to BF!

Lets stay on topic here. Yes, Condor is sum good knifes.

Wow I feel the love! I aint no english Professer and I could care less about your point of view about someone you don't know. So enough talking to the girls. I just got back from camp and the Kumunga is a great knife me and the boys had a blast with it and nobody could beleave it was a $30 knife.Only two pike so the fire wood got a lot of play and with snow up to your butt them fun and games was work made easyer by a light weight knife with some real punchin power. If it didn't fail in them condisions it aint gonna. If your thinking about it pull the trigger Condor has some good bluecoller blades and you'll have beer money leftover.

I'm quite a big fan of the Kumunga myself. Great chopper for situations where carrying a full-blown machete would be inappropriate (like when you don't know for sure if you'll need to do any chopping bu want to be prepared) or not PC.

Welcome to BF JFinny. I only have one Condor blade, the Golok, and I'm so impressed that I'm thinking of getting some more. Good review BTW. Would've been better with some pictures, though. How did you liked the handle ergonomics?

The handle needed some work with a file then the pinkie off three finger grip chopped well and felt great. The handle also took some heavy blows batonin we had a couple of teenage boys my son included who got no respect for the stuff other people buy.As I said this is a great knife that well last longer then I'll be walkin on top. Postin rules say You may not post attachments so no pic's you just got to take my word and I aint no spring chickin so your word is all a man really has. CV 64 VA147 78-82

Not sure what all of those numbers at the end of your post are supposed to mean, but you can upload your photos via a free site like Photobucket and post a link to the URL here with the "Insert Image" button in the message tools. :)

You can post pics via sites like Tinypic.

Not to pick on you but..
But that rum drinkin Latino was at it again them scales were a little funny and them rivits he didn't file them down quit right.
What does this mean ?

If it helps, then it helps :)

Jfinny, please use punctuation. Those walls of text are hard to get through.

I'd say you should also put a space between sentences, makes reading alot easier.

Welcome aboard.

Hay Joe thanks for the film!! My handle aint as big as it once was but it could be as big once as it ever was.

FTB thats the boat i was on in the late 70's and the birds i put ejection sets in like a show of honor to dispel the naysayers. The tip about the photo and your possitive tud i thank you for but that is a bit more then i care to learn

Hey, good to hear your experiences with the Kumunga. I've got one too and I love it. Last night I went through some dry red oak, it was so hard I thought I might've rolled/damaged the edge, but after inspecting it was still holding up. I have managed to roll the blade quite often though(seems like it happens more with softer wood), but no biggie, I just touch it up with a steel rod. I do admit at times though, I wonder if it was just a notch more firmer in steel grade (perhaps 1095)? Either way, it's still a great camping knife, I don't even need to bring an ax with me which I love.

I personally do not like big blades for chopping and so, I have a nice axe for this, and cheap machete for thin woods.
BUT I realize that need a good, simple and not expensive carbon steel knife with 10-12 inch blade, nice sheath.
I need a knife like this to clear my way in woods - to cut branches and work like this in cam+food preparation.
Well I am sure that there a lot of good knives but Kumunga is not only good - it is not expensive!
And not only can chop and split - it can slice and prepare food because of VERY nice convex edge!
This is my Kumunga with out of the box sharpens

I like it a lot!
