Went for a hike/swim around a lake near where I live in WA. Took along the BK5, BK15 combo.

You climb up the rock on the other side of this bridge and jump in the pool to the right. It's really deep. I dived and tried to reach the bottom a couple of time but couldn't do it. If you open your eyes underwater the lake is so clear you can see a long distance.

My overnighter. I strapped on a chair because the terrain is rocky...the one luxury item I always bring. My crazy creek chair.

Some places are almost beach like with really dark pebble rocks. I was watching a fish swim around under this tree.

There is nothing like sitting down into a crazy creek at the end of a hike. Never leave for a overnighter without one...

Judging from the steep angles of the terrain, it's easy to believe the depth of the lake. Beautiful area and beautiful water!

There are lakes that aren't brown?! Man, I've been swimming in the wrong places.
Also, you're lucky to not have anyone else around. If that type of spot was here, it would be flooded with people.

Looks like heaven! Which lake? It looks like Alpine Lakes area. I promise not to give out your secret area. BTW, HCS, that's the clarity of most of our lakes. Pretty cool, eh?

Nevermind..

Another question how warm or cold was that water? The lakes in WA are usually pretty cold

Where is Washington? I am at FT. Lewis and I do most my camping around the Greenwater Area, but I am hoping to start venturing out more.
