There are some videos on YouTube that show you how to tie the lanyard back on. It also might be a good time to see if you prefer the knife without it!

Most regulars just have cord tied though the hole in the scales. It is cheep and easy to tie a new one. You can pick up small amounts of paracord at Michaels. If it is actually a classic or 21 with the post you can buy a pre-tied lanyard on the post for like $12 or if you did not lose the post its just smaller paracord and again not hard to tie. You can also not use the post and tie it like you would on a regular. Lots of videos on youtube showing how to tie a Chris Reeves lanyard.

You are only out a couple of dollars and maybe 15min of doing the knot. Less if you have done one before.
