I got the bad boy at work today & had to take it for a test run out back.
I grabbed the first handy 2x4 & had at it.
First I chopped the 2x4 in half, then split one of the halves, purposely going through a knot.
Then made some curlies.

All I have to say is,you nailed the Camp Knife perfect Chris.
The handle is one of,if not the most comfortable of all my choppers.
I love the thickness, especially up front. My hand didn't want to slide back like with most big knives I have.
I experienced no hand fatigue or hot spots & as you all can see it remained super sharp after the workout.
It'll do curlies with paper too.Very impressive edge holding!
I'm sorry to say I did put some scratches in that fine edge & on the blade, but what the hell....It's a KFU!
Ok,I'm not sorry,it's a user & I'm going to beat the crap out of it every chance I get!
If you all like a big chopper like I do,don't miss out on the next batch.Chris has got a winner in the KFU Camp Knife.

Thanks for another great knife Chris.

I second that Myke. I battened mine through about a rick of firewood now and its still asking for more. Nice blade man, love that handle.

Thanks for the pics Myke! I have already contacted the water jetter to get some more cut out, and I love the scratches!

Man, I'm really liking these things!! I'm going to have to get one in my hands on the next batch.

Man, that thing is sweet. Congrats on the new blade.

Thanks guys/Chris,I still can't get over how good it feels in hand,it's got a very nice blade forward heft to it.
I'll be scratching it up more on the next camping trip in a couple of weeks.

Glad you like it Myke! I really do too. I thought the handle would be too wide but after putting a handle on it it just felt right. I was going to do it in 1/4" stock but I wanted something that wasn't a dedicated chopper so I decided to use the 3/16". Can't wait for pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry,I didn't get to go camping, been too busy selling knives for Hanna.
Maybe in a couple of weeks I can get some beatin' done on the beast.

Myke, sorry for showing up late to the party, but that knife looks both pretty damn intimidating & awesome at the same time. And I knew that sapwood would give those scales one heck of a unique appeal . . . .
Great looking knife buddy, & kudos to you Chris, love the big knives . . . .
Be safe.

I still haven't taken the beast camping & now there is a wildfire burning up close to where I camp,so of course there is a fire ban.
Hopefully when things cool off this fall I'll be able to get 'er out & beat on 'er some.(And have a nice camp fire to relax by at night.)
I'm jonesin' man,I'm jonesin'.

Myke, any of those fires burning close to where you are? I haven't seen too much the last couple of days, but Sunday it said there were pretty well burning anything in their path. Are they starting to get them under control finally?
Stay safe buddy, keep your stuff ready.
Be safe.

Nope, not close to me & it should be contained by friday.
They were hoping for containment yesterday, but the winds kicked up.
