Hi folks I wanted to show you this knife I call it the Last Star Fighter I started this knife around a year ago I had planed to do the carving on the butt cap myself I have been learning to carve the old way using tools made from high carbon steel. But this little detail, small as it is, proved to be a lot harder then I was thinking it would be so I let me friend and teacher Saign Charlestein carve the one I used on the knife as I wanted the collector to get what he was hoping for and not my learning work. There was 3 knives made from this billet first was the Moon Fighter the reason I made the damascus next was the star fighter that won best fixed blade at blade this year and this the last star fighter and I call it that as this is not a damascus that I will make again. but I will be using what I learned to play with some new stuff. if you want to see what saign is about check out saignc.com . The pics where taking by Al Ten thanks again Al blade is 10-1/2 OAL is 15-3/4_MG_6594_MD.jpg_MG_6604_MD.jpg_MG_6736_MD.jpg_MG_6740_MD.jpg_MG_6726_MD.jpg

Dave,

That's a beautiful knife. Your damascus is just stunning, and the fittings and handle top it off.

You're a real innovator in Damascus. It's always exciting to see what you've come up with.

(And a poet, too!)
