I had meant to share this one here last Wednesday or Thursday but the polarization of politics and opinions, here and across the country...and all the lines being drawn in the sand, has made the happenings of the last few days even more dynamic, interesting, and crazy than it already was. So there has been a lot to document and capture. I've seen some pretty sketchy things happening on the parts of politicians and corporations here and elsewhere, and i'll discuss those more later. Mainly I have been more interested in the quality of some of the remarkable individuals I have had the pleasure of meeting during the documenting of this story.

Thank you, I'm really glad you enjoyed it. This one is #2 in a series of articles inspired by my documenting some of the things that have been going on in the craziness of the last couple of months. The first one was To Go Only, which is one on how some of the restaurants responded to their new landscape early on. There is/are another/others coming that go into some of the sketchy things I've seen on the parts of local politicians and corporate eateries. But I prefer to just mention and show the bad in order to highlight the good rather than just focus on the bad. There are always a few bad apples. Because I still have faith that there are more good people than bad, I'd rather highlight the good in hopes of inspiring more of it.

Its such a wierd time for the whole world now. Personally, I think the reaction to the virus is more dangerous than the virus itself. There has been some pulling together, and some pulling apart. Certainly the devastation to the economy will be felt for a LONG time.

I've been incredibly lucky throughout this pandemic because of y'all supporting our business. I've been able to hold onto Phillip, which was my chief concern. I can't thank you all enough for this blessing. No matter what happens, I owe more than I can ever re-pay to y'all, my friends and customers. Thank you very much.

It is a very weird time that is being very interesting to document. I find the juxtaposition of dynamics of the pulling together and being pushed apart an interesting subject to study. I too am very blessed in the friends and family I have, and in being able to be very flexible and diversified, and able to quickly adapt in order to keep things going. Plus have had time to help others in need. It has been a struggle for Alayna and i in some ways obviously, but not as much for us as for some others. I have spent a lot of time being very thankful I live in Tennessee, where there have only been a few attempts at the sort of governmental over-reach I have seen in a few other states by city mayors here and there, and that our Governor has shut down all of those that I have seen here so far. I'm certainly glad I no longer live in Michigan and do not live in NY, CA, VA, or KY with some of the craziness that I have heard of from friends who live in those states.

And the governor of the state I reside extended the health emergency EO for another thirty days today....! No end in sight... how many small businesses going to survive this is completely unknown , life in America is bordering on the surreal for now and all of us need to adopt the best we can , like Brian said life is relatively short.. quality over quantity!!

Yeah one of the reasons for some of the strangeness going on in Chattanooga in this thread yesterday, which is the next piece in this series, is that the Governor and County Mayor are both Republicans, but the Mayor of Chattanooga is a Democrat who has clearly been pushing an agenda of control from the very beginning. Just like some of the Governors of Kentucky, Michigan, Virginia...not to mention California and New York, who seem determined to not let this perfectly good (and likely intentionally fabricated and artificially induced just like our President said it is) crisis go to waste, and pushing for more government over-reach. I'm glad our Governor and County Mayor overruled him and limited the damage he can do here. He seemed determine to hurt the economy here as much as possible. If you look at some of the clearly un American actions of people like Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff, Chuck Schumer, Gretchen Whitmer, Ralph Northrom, Andy Beshear, and a few others it doesn't take a master's degree in political science to see that something is going on. To see that their priorities are obviously not to defend the Constitution they've all sworn to uphold or to stand by the people who put them in power or the nation that pays their salaries. Hell for those of us who have spent our lives studying history, been in the military, and have spent a good bit of time studying military histories and arts of war, it doesn't take stretching the imagination at all to see them as likely colluding and collaborating with some outside forces, and possibly in order to weaken the United States from within with a means to an end at a later date. I've never historically been a party person, but with the lines being drawn in the sand i am becoming one in this case. The more the Democrats hate on Trump and the other republicans who appear to be pushing an agenda of Americanism, the more Republican I become, and the more i see the democrats as pushing an agenda of enmity on the U.S.
