Great post Brian, wow, and a big congrats to Andy. Man, I remember reading Andy saying he got to be a probationary member not too long ago, now he's a voting member! It's a testament to his hard work, vision, and talent. Great job to the Fiddleback crew as well.

Yeah, the probationary period can last from 2 to 3 years depending on the time of joining.

Well done Brian! That is a great post celebrating a well deserved craftsman. Congrats to you Andy!!

Thanks Todd, I think I sweated this one more than anything else I have written. I am good with conveying data, thoughts, and opinions on gear...but I have always felt a bit awkward when it came to expressing thoughts and information on people in general, much less friends. But it was something I really wanted to do, and wanted to do right.

Good post, Mistwalker. You put into words the appreciation and respect that many of us have for Andy's work.

Well I can't speak for everyone, but I loved the blog post Brian. Thank you for all you do my friend. This business depends on the enthusiasm of all of the folks here, and you have been a part of the family from the beginning. You cannot know what a boon it is for me to read with two slow sales months in a row and money worries piling up. Please know that what you write and how you post for us has been a life vest for this business!

Well, luckily for you Andy, as your business slows down, mine heats up. Which means I'll have $$ for another knife or two in the next two months. Now I just have to be faster than anyone else to get the ones I want on your fiddleback fridays post! :)

Congrats on the knifemaker's guild, that's awesome. As a new fan of your work, I'm smitten. And I have nothing but good things to say about your cohorts with W.A. Surls and Osprey Knife & Tool! Hope to pick up some of those down the line as well.

Thank you for the message!

Call the shop. We have knives in reserve beyond what we usually hold.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the compliments!

Thank you Andy, getting to watch Fiddleback Forge grow and develop to where it is today is something that I have enjoyed tremendously. It is something very special that am very glad to have gotten to be a part of.

As a business owner with overhead and employees, I know where you are coming from. However, you are doing great work and I am sure your sales will pick up soon. Hang in there, Andy!

This would be interesting for all new customers imo. So many casual collectors get frustrated or don't want to deal with the shark thing. Maybe allow first time customers to purchase the knife they want during the preview? I'd like to see more new blood and I think that might help. Same dudes get all the knives most of the time on ff. That's intimidating to outsiders interested in andys work.

I second that :)
