Well its actually been a little while since I bought a new folder so I just picked up these two: the Benchmade 950 Rift and a Spyderco Calypso (sprint run).
It seems like I'm the last guy on Earth to finally buy a 950 Rift but finally got one. It feels pretty heavy duty and I'll probably be replacing my Emerson Super Commander with it as my primary work blade. I'm in the construction field so I need something relatively big and stout. We'll see how it holds up to the Emerson as far as strength and durability though. I really really like the handle scales; they're not nearly as rough or uncomfortable as everyone makes them out to be in the reviews.
The Spyderco Calypso is equally impressive. When I first opened her up all I could say is WOW. This thing is very nice to look at and the edge came absolutely wicked sharp. The earth-brown G10 handle and swedge grind along the spine make for an extremely handsome knife. Anyway, on with the pics....
