No, it's not mine. :(

Don sent me this picture, so that I could drool all over my keyboard. Cruel Bastid! :) Somebody is going to get a real gem with this one. Blade is some 1075 modified steel that Don picked up a while back. Exact composition is unknown, but every blade Don has made out of it, has turned out to be exceptional in edge holding and toughness. Mosaic damascus bolsters, and some of the best looking stag ever!

Oh man, that is gorgeous. If someone here on the forums is getting it, you better bring it to Blade to show us all.

I love the 'crappie' emblem (is that right?)...

Bloody nice!!!!!!!!!!

What a great piece of work!! Don "The Sunfish Man" Hanson III is quite a craftsman for sure. His stamp is of a Sunfish.

Thanks Danbo and all, for your kind words.
This knife will be avalible at the Blade show and yes I have a nice sheath for it. :D I hope to see you guys at the show, stop by my table.

All the best, Don Hanson

Oooooo!! That's nice. Sleek lines, great hamon, wonderful stag and exceptional mosaic damascus (Don makes some of the finest mosaic). Put them all together and you get a knife that is tough to beat.

While I favor the Bowie, a terrific knife like this makes it hard to stick to one theme for a collection.
That is truly beautifully made!

I love that style of blade where makers do not polish the whole blade and leave some roughness to part of it. It really gives a knive character.

Actually, CRH, I suspect you are referring to the way the blade displays areas of different grain structure after etching and finishing. I'm quite sure there are no areas of "roughness" on the blade and I'm certain the entire blade is immaculately finished. The beauty is that you are seeing not just whats on the surface of the steel, but whats IN the steel itself. And I love that. That is a beautiful, elegant knife. That stag looks like it would really keep one's hands warm ! Jason.
