Anyone miss this little thing? I loved this knife and regret selling the one I had left, but was hoping to see one with G10

You might be in luck. Sal has mentioned that he's taking the prototype of a blue G-10 Lava with him to S.H.O.T.

So happy to hear this.:)
My wife would love one too; she carries the SS handle Lava most of the time, and she really likes blue G-10.

I'll take at least two. (I could probably convince my dad and brother that they need one as well)

The Lava was one of my first Spydercos. It definitely feels like an extension of the hand... very organic.
Very excited to hear about the new variant! Thanks for the heads up guys!

The Lava is among the handful of Spydercos that I liked so much, I bought a back-up.

How about an all TI lava with s30v at a similar price point as a Sage 2.

Interesting thought -- but, y'know, the Lava is so tiny, I almost think you WANT the weight of the SS slabs to give it a little extra heft in your hands...Just IMHO...

The Lava is quite possibly the ugliest Spyderco in my opinion. Count me in for a G10 Lava.

A ti Lava would be possible, but unlikely. A ti Lava in S30V would probably be about 5 times less likely, given that it's is made in Japan and the Japanese take insult at the idea of using foreign steel. A ti Lava in S30V at a similar price point to the Sage 2, could only happen if the Japanese economy went in the toilet, or the cost of making knives in Taiwan soared and the price of the Sage went way up.

Blue g-10? That's awesome. I'll take 2 as well :D

The Lava is one of the very few knives I don't mind in a steel handle. I'd like to see a variation featuring a blade with less belly and more point. Or something like the pictures I've seen of one that got reground into a wharncliffe...

I wouldn't mind some zdp-189. I picture the lava with something more classy than g10 tho. Smooth carbon fiber, fluted ti =), maybe even micarta.

I'd love a Lava. Bring it back, just like it was. The steel handle works with this model and is cool for engraving.
