The Leatherman warranty

Simple question, if sending in a leatherman for warranty service, do you need to contact leatherman first, or just sent in the tool with the warranty submission form?

If you have done this, what was the turn around time?

I just sent mine in with the warranty card (supertool and micra) and got them both back in a week and a half.

Steps:
1. Print out warranty form from website.
2. Place with tool in envelope.
3. Stamp and send.
4. Wait a couple weeks.
5. Use fixed or new tool.

Very easy and great warranty program.

Sent my squirt in with form filled out, and 2. Weeks later I received it back.
