The Lefty Forum.....why not????

I see that we now have a Pass-around Forum. :rolleyes: What happened to The Lefty Forum? There was a lot of interest in it and yet we still don't have one! What makes a Pass-around Forum more important than a legitmate user forum such as one for us lefties?
Not that the Pass-around Forum isn't a legit forum but I bet there are alot of us lefties looking for a place to go for info. There are some forums on BF.C that probably don't generate alot of posts (the United States Knife Knuts Forum comes to mind...1 lonely post!!!) that can be sacrificed to make room for us if bandwidth is the problem.

C'mon already Spark! Give us lefties a place to hangout!!!
 
Who cares about lefties? If they can't learn to use the right hand it's there fault! :rolleyes: :D (Corny pun fully intended!:p )

Spark...As a proud "lefty" myself, I'll even volunteer to moderate "The Lefty" forum, and do my best to keep it active.

PLEASE give us a chance...:)
 
we'd get the chance to get a special run of Forum Knives that we could actually use. Clips, studs and cutouts on the correct side. I've picked up a great many knives I would have kept if I were right handed.

Look, I'm a lefty myself, and the answer is no. We're too much of a minority and even the KFC Lefty forum is a dud. I hate having a bunch of dead forums, and this is just a really specialized niche we don't need.
 
Ok, no lefty forum... however, about this lefty knife... if we can decide on a design for around $100, and find a maker, how many south paws would be interested? Ideas for a design are welcome?
 
Lefty Lil Temperance (leaf point, not trailing point). Heck, a Lefty EDC would be nice, too. So, how many would it take to get a special run? Dependant on Maker and Model, I guess.

I'm in for a lefty special. Sometimes when I am in a contrary mood and am meeting new people, I offer my left hand for a handshake. Most folks change and just give me a wierd look. Those that ask if something is wrong with my right hand, I say "no" and go off on how the history of a handshake was that you came in peace because your righty's couldn't draw their weapons. I don't know if it's true or not, but it's fun to watch them squirm and then run off. But I am kinda an ass when I want to be:eek: :D :D
 
Yeah, as Spark pointed out, us southpaws are quite the minority. Heck, all (except CRK and the Benchmade Axis) production knife companies don't make left hand versions. Custom makers will do it but the wait is long and some charge extra. I'd like to see a lefty forum also but you know being left handed has gotten me used to being "left" out. My loyality to CRK is partially due to the fact that they regularly have left hand knives available (of course the fact that they make an excellent product with great customer service is also a big factor). The sad reality is that being left hand friendly doesn't put food on the table. I'm always interested in left hand knives so if we can get maybe a special bladeforums southpaw knife, count me in!:D :cool: :cool: :eek: ;) :p

Hate having dead forums? Then look at the United States Knife Knuts Forum. It only has one post! I think a lefty forum will get more action than that forum which you decide to keep alive. And you can't tell me that the Pass-Around forum isn't a specialized forum. How much more specialized can you get?!!!
 
The pass around forum has the possibility of sustained traffic. The Lefty forum doesn't.

Anyhow, the answer is no - sorry, that's final. I've watched the traffic for over 5 years now and there aren't enough lefty posts to remotely justify it.
 
Sorry to say this but I'll have to agree with Spark
on a Lefty Forum. He is correct about the KFC lefty
forum being a dud. :rolleyes:

I'm a lefty and have learned to adpt in a right
hand world. At times this ablitity is a blessing
so I'm not gonna cry croc tears for not being a
righty.:D

Fine. Then explain to me why the United States Knife Knuts Forum still exists. I guess one thread justifies its being. To me that seems hypocritical. :rolleyes:

Maybe so but it still has seen some action. More than I can say for some of the forums on BF.C.
