The Legacy of KA-BAR (with a Becker guest appearance)

Badass. Thy name is KA-BAR.

And John is pretty sexy in that vid too. :D

Good Stuff. The knives sell them selves, but the history behind the company and the knives and the way you stand behind your products, really makes KA-BAR stand out in the knife community.
Thanks for doing what you do.

"one thing hasn't changed, though. We make the best knives out there and we make them right here in the United States." Heck yes. This is the reason I love Ka-Bar and talk like a rambling fool about them. :)

I saw two guest appearances -- the BK4 first, then the BK-2. Never enough of a good thing...

I do need to get a Ka-Bar... I have so many of their boxes laying around and only 1 of their knives!

Good stuff OKB! I always love learning a little bit of history, and adding knives to it just makes it even better!

Good video. Thanks Ka-Bar. Liked it all and seeing the Ka-Bar building. Being a Becker fan I just don't get the rat-tail with the leather washer design. Ka-Bar has a great name for quality and value yet the rat tail looks like it has a good potential to break off with repeated use.

Interestingly, I found upon a search that a 'Tidioute Cutlery Co' line of pocket knives in would you believe 1095 steel is being manufactured by Great Eastern Cutlery in America. Reading the details it seems that the original company name is the same as the one in the video above yet the historical details are a bit different. I like several of the various models of classic looking pocket knives made by Great Eastern.

Not as sexy as you; you hot piece of hoof and antler. LOL :D

Best Regards,

Oooooooo flirting. :D

Seriously, I've been a fan of KA-BAR since I was a child. There are many reasons why, but the biggest is yhe first time that Korean Era Kabar hit the palm of my hand, and I was told "Here, its yours" I knew there was no other knife for me.

I do love my BKT's, but KABAR is/was/will always be, my first real knife love.

The KA-BAR was my boyscout BIG knife .lol I had a little boyscout folder and a hatchet, and when I got a KA-BAR I felt like I had finally arrived !

Anyone remember Unity(?) catalog back in the days (early 1970s)? That's when I first saw a KA-BAR and wanted one bad! But at that time, I was just but a wee-lilo small time kid.

Great vid! I just recently got my first 1217...it has a sense of History/Legacy/Destiny when it is held in the hand.

Machax and Bk2! Woot!

Thanks for sharing
