My dad gave me a bunch of camping and backpacking equipment, and this knife was in the pile. I though it was interesting because it has the family name (Leonard) engraved on a plate inlaid in the handle. The blade is stamped "RANDALL MADE", so I thought I would post it here and see what you guys could tell me about it. Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Don,

It's a mid 1960's production knife in what looks to be excellent condition. The blade is High-Carbon Swedish tool steel. The nickel silver hilt (guard) was an option, as was the maple burl handle, the finger-grooves, and the nickel-silver name plate. I believe the name engraving was done after the knife left the Randall shop. The first number on the sheath back is the model designator; the second number is the blade length. Overall, a very nice vintage Randall knife and great family heirloom; thanks for sharing!

Hope that helps; more information can be found here -> http://www.randallknives.com/
