The less than $30 Discount Store backpacking tent.

Please write a review. I would like to see how this compares to a basic tarp as one to throw into my pack.
 
I don't know about this 2 man tent, but we needed a tent in Yellowstone (don't ask:o). We went to the same box store outside of the park. Purchased a $70 "family" tent. It held it's own with sleet, snow, and rain. Good construction....welded seams.....simple 5 minute set up. I thought the Ozark Trail tent would be one and done, but that's not the case here. My Cabela's tent has been the back up ever since.
 
You never know what you're going to get with that particular store brand. Sometimes it's absolute junk, and sometimes it's alright stuff.

This is an intriguing topic. I would appreciate a review and perhaps other suggestions on small portable tents which can be reasonably transported in back country situations.
