Here is a kid after my own heart! This is Broken Arrow's 1.5 month old son, Kenshiro, getting acquainted with 20 and 25 inch Himalayan Imports sirupatis.

Notice he is smiling! Smart boy!

That kid is going to suffer from a lifelong case of HIKV. He will feel the Siren's Song of HI from the get-go. Boy, do I envy him!

Thanks Uncle for posting that picture of my son! He really gets excited when I do my routine maintenance on my blades. That little Khukuri letter opener that I got from you over the weekend looks cute when my son is holding it! I'll send some pictures to you when I get the the roll developed. Thanks again!

BA,
Better stay in shape, this is going to be a big guy!Maybe you want me to start training him with Bali's before he takes his Dad's K's!
Great looking kid,healthy & happy, you're a lucky man!

This reminds me of the good trick for the married people out there. Tell your wife that you buing the khuk as a gift for your son. She won't be able to object to that.

My 3 month old is now the proud owner of a 16.5" AK. I'm just "borrowing" it until he's old enough to use it.

Thanks for all the nice words about my son!

Hey Jim, thanks for the offer on training with the Bali! My son studies me carefully when I practice with my blades and the Balisong workout is one of them. My father taught me when I was 8 years old and I too will train my son when he is ready.

Josh, when my son was two weeks old I bought him a 15" Sirupati from Uncle. My wife was sort of mad, but my son's blade had a new home. I also purchased a BAS for my wife, and she uses it for the yard.

:
BA your son looks exactly like you. Wonder what it would be like to see a baby pic of you as well.

This young man should grow up wise before his years and I would bet BA sees to that. A very nice gentleman as was all the guys. And the gals were all real Ladies too.

I am most certainly glad I found my way here as well.

That's a much better way to show how big he was at that age than just writing down the measurement! That reminds me ... my family has a whole series of pictures of my brother and me standing in a certain doorway at my grandmother's house -- all dated, with our ages. I was always a head taller than him until I peaked out and he kept growing ... he ended up the same height as me at 6' 4" ... the last few pix in the series we're wedged into the doorway because our shoulders got too broad to fit side-by-side....

Right now the 20" and 25" siripatis are just right for him ... but in a year ... didn't you discontinue the 30" Kumar Kobra, Bill? No matter, there are tarwars ... and katanas ... but if Kenshiro ends up as tall as my brother and I did, HI is going to have to start making spears.

Thanks for the kind words Yvsa. Thanks again for sharpening my Barong, Kris, and CRKT Kasper folder!

All of my family and in-laws from Japan say that my son looks exactly like me when I was that age! My son does have my wife's hair color and ears. I will get some more pictures to Uncle with my son holding some H.I. toys.

I'll e-mail you when I get caught up on those Kris blades. Then you can send your blade for the asang-asang straps and the handle. Take care.

BA, I have a 3 month old son, so I know how proud you must feel. You've got a great looking, healthy boy with a full head of hair. Congratulations.

And congratulations to Josh Wilson too! We have been truly blessed.

The three of us will all be raising our sons to be khukaholics like their fathers!

BTW, those khuks in the pic don't look too shabby either!

"The median family of four...paid $4,722 in federal taxes last year. That's enough to pay for a new curtain for the secretary of commerce's office, to bribe a farmer not to plant 38 acres with corn...seven weeks of salary for a Customs man assigned to save us from the terror of high-quality, low priced foreign TV sets, or the subsidy on 6,000 bushels of wheat to prop up the Soviet regime. Surely civilization would collapse without such essential services."
