Or Batman and Robin.

The Count Of Monte Cristo and Jacopo.

What do they all have in common? The dynamic duo thing. Like a Vicorinox spartan and a classic. Or the Pioneer and rambler. A capable team of complimenting tools/blades.

In all my years, I've not found the perfect SAK, but a team comes close. A well picked duo that has mated up mission capability to handle more than one single SAK can do. A 58mm and a 91 or 93mm. Or a 74mm and 93mm. Mix it up for a wide range of tools and sizes in the pockets. As perfect as a SAK is for an EDC, two complimenting SAK's of different sizes is even better. Of late, my old Wenger SI has been teamed up with my classic and it seems they cover 99.9% of what I need. Or the Leatherman squirt and Victorinox alox bantam I sometimes carry.

Dynamic duo's seem to work well to protect Gotham! :)

It would seem that in my world the sidekick has much better job security. I've been carrying a Victorinox Manager in the keychain for over 2 years, and a Rambler before that. The "main character" in the dynamic duo varies constantly though, sometimes it is a Sportman, Spartan, Waiter, a Wenger Commander, or a Huntsman for any short walk in the woods. Non-SAK characters sometimes complement the Manager, but they do so less frequently.

No matter what occupies my right front pocket, the left front never changes:

SAK Rambler
Bandana on top
Small Fenix flashlight on a hanger clip

In truth I could handle 99% of job duties with my left front pocket.

I know I’ve posted the pics several times, but I’m really liking the Small Tinker/Rambler duo. More than capable but sticking to the light weight minimalist concept.
