Well, I've been jonesing for an Outcast, and thanks to clintg, I now have one. I've already whacked down a few small trees, and I'm really impressed with this monster.

Pictured with a Scallion for size reference...

Thanks again, Clint!

I've been eyeballing one of these for a while now but I hadn't heard to much about them, figured it had to be good if it said Kershaw on it though. I've been wanting a good chopper, so keep us posted on what you think of it if you would.

SPX...that Outcast is sure a good looking beast...:D (Thanks for the pics)

About how thick is the blade?

Ray :)

I've hacked a few more small trees (4" dia) with it and the edge is still very sharp. It's got a great balance and the grip is excellent.

According to my calipers, the spine is 5/32nds at the handle, and the blade is 2 & 3/8ths deep at the deepest area of the belly. Weight is 1 pound, 0.7 ounces. The balance point is about 3 inches up from the handle.

It's balanced and weighted well enough so it doesn't wear you out using it. This is an excellent tool for Family use!
