The longest balisong

Recently, SniperBOY proposed a Giant Bali from the Philippines (cf her sales page). 32 inch overall.

I'm wondering what (where) is the longest balisong in the world... what is the longest balisong you've ever seen ? how long is it ?

Yup, on Sniperboy's site, you can see pictures of a six footer (1.83M).

That's the longest one I've ever seen.

The longest one I've got has a 27" blade, about 1.4M overall open. I had pictures of it in The Vault maybe a year or two ago.

someone asked me to bounty hunt those giant balisongs, If I am not mistaken I had one that was 37" but that sold instantly

Hay Sniperboy, my brother in law told me that he has two large Balisong's that he had made for me, that he does not have any way of getting over here to me. Do you know of anyway I could get them from Manila to here? Thanks, JohnR7

I must say I'm very interested in the huge balisongs. Are they hard to find, and how much do they cost?
Are they considered swords or real balisongs,
and are they fully funcional (flipable)?
I guess it wouldn't be a problem importing one because of the size (swords aren't illegal

).

John, the best way to get a bad boy to the US woudl be to have a personal courier fly it over. (ofcourse I woudn';t know if this woudl work since I don't do such things

if any of you are in the area drop by the anime convention up in Crystal City VA. I have been goign there for 6 years now - as much as my anime love has died down i go to see friends and to pick fights in the arcade

I assume that the guy making the 5 foot balisong will be there (as always) trying to make a quick buck from the pre teens and the old cross dressers who don't know the first thign abotu knives

My father has a friend at work from the Philippines who says his sister owns and uses a 3 footer. Gotta be cool seein' a chick manipulate a 3 foot bali.
