The longest wait...

I recently scored a grail that I had been looking for for the longest time from a good forumite and fellow Spydie nut. Now I have to wait... and wait... and wait for it to arrive. Its gonna be tough! Every day when I wonder out to the post box, I am saying a little prayer that the slip of paper will be there... the knife nut's ritual! :D

If you're wondering what it is (of course you are) its the original Manix, the mighty C95, no doubt one of the greatest Spydies of all time, if not THE greatest!

Mark,
I hope that your wait will be over soon and you will enjoy the Manix.
It will be a good back-up for your Lava. :D

I'm with you on the backlock. Also, I feel for you bud...shipping waits in the US feel long enough, overseas shipping's even worse.

Thanks Roman, on the one hand, its tough but on the other hand, anticipation is half the fun as we all know.

Yes it is a simple yet elegant option. Well perhaps not so simple, there don't seem to be many custom knives made with this lock. What I dream about is a four inch flat ground clip point, with stag handles and beautiful brushed steel bolsters and a backlock - carried in a custom made belt sheath. After many years of collecting knives, this to me is an ideal solution. The Manix will do for now though. :D

The Spyderco Manix C95 (great knife!) is one of the first 4 or 5 nice knives that I bought along with the BM Skirmish 630BK1 once I started to figure this hobby out a bit and it's still in my top 5 or 6 favorite folders I've ever bought. It's certainly on that short list of knives that I'll never sell so I'm sure you'll love it and hopefully it'll arrive soon.

backlock is my favorite as well. The knife, which you are dreaming about sound like custom XL Persian. You need to contact ED Schmpp, may be he will be able to help:D
