the look of recent black micarta handles

Just put in an order for a satin nmsfno. I always liked tan canvas but decided to roll the dice and go with black canvas (only options available). So....I know with Busse micarta handles can have different looks. I am curious how the more recent batches a black micarta handle have come out. Are they lighter, darker, have more of a pattern? I am hoping for a lighter tone, because I like putting my own patina on it over time with use.

What I've seen have been a nice greyish black. You can check out a few threads in the exchange and see the black micarta on sob's and others from blade show.
