I've had my Commander for years... about three months ago I lost it. It's heart breaking... I loved that knife. Its silly to get attached to things but I replace most of my knives with this one. Only a small 2 inch knife is the only "other" thing I carried. I've been in denial, thinking it might turn up in my house somewhere but I've turned over every room and nothing. :grumpy:

Well, I had one of the first ones out. numbered thick blade and think liner lock. At least compared to a couple of shooting buddies who but there a couple of years after me.

Sorry for the rant but I guess I'm off to search the web for a good deal on one.

Yes, yes, I did. I am pretty pissed about it but what can you do. It served me well for many years. I'll find a replacement and see about picking up a used 98 Commander when one becomes available. I guess on the bright side of things it lets me go to some more knife and gun shows in search of one. :D
