It seems like only yesterday that we were a brand new site, with just a few members. Yet here we are, just over a year later, and now we've hit the M4K mark. And Walt was worrying about M2K, hah!
Heck, we still have over a month to go before Jan 1, 2000, who knows how many more we'll get before the big meltdown!
I find it pretty amazing that most of the "new blood" seems to come from two sources: word of mouth, and searching for information on knives. Thanks to the community as a whole, once a new person comes, they are hooked.
But that's not all...
Thanks to you, BladeForums.com has become the best site for knife information out there. No where else will you find such a collection of knife enthusiasts, makers, dealers, manufacturers, collectors and bonafide KnifeKnuts. Log on at any time of day or night, and you'll see a steady stream of information flowing on any and every topic.
Because of the high quality of the information here, we've become a magnet for the best in the industry. We've added new forums when needed, and have attracted some of the biggest names as well, all thanks to you guys. We're even going to start branching off into other areas as well - we're hoping to add Dr. Ron Hood and his associates as moderators of an upcoming Survival and Wilderness Forum, yet another common "niche" that knife users typically need information on.
Anyhow, thanks to all of you for making this site such a success. I especially thank the moderators, without whom we'd be up the creek, without a paddle. Their knowledge and information are an invaluable resource for the community as a whole to draw upon, and as we bring more members to this site, they are only getting better.
So, from the bottom of my heart,
Thanks for making us the #1 Knife Information resource on the Internet!!!
Give yourselves a big pat on the back, you've done good.
