It seems like only yesterday that we were a brand new site, with just a few members. Yet here we are, just over a year later, and now we've hit the M4K mark. And Walt was worrying about M2K, hah!

Heck, we still have over a month to go before Jan 1, 2000, who knows how many more we'll get before the big meltdown!

I find it pretty amazing that most of the "new blood" seems to come from two sources: word of mouth, and searching for information on knives. Thanks to the community as a whole, once a new person comes, they are hooked.

But that's not all...

Thanks to you, BladeForums.com has become the best site for knife information out there. No where else will you find such a collection of knife enthusiasts, makers, dealers, manufacturers, collectors and bonafide KnifeKnuts. Log on at any time of day or night, and you'll see a steady stream of information flowing on any and every topic.

Because of the high quality of the information here, we've become a magnet for the best in the industry. We've added new forums when needed, and have attracted some of the biggest names as well, all thanks to you guys. We're even going to start branching off into other areas as well - we're hoping to add Dr. Ron Hood and his associates as moderators of an upcoming Survival and Wilderness Forum, yet another common "niche" that knife users typically need information on.

Anyhow, thanks to all of you for making this site such a success. I especially thank the moderators, without whom we'd be up the creek, without a paddle. Their knowledge and information are an invaluable resource for the community as a whole to draw upon, and as we bring more members to this site, they are only getting better.

So, from the bottom of my heart,

Thanks for making us the #1 Knife Information resource on the Internet!!!

Give yourselves a big pat on the back, you've done good.

Congratulations to you and Mike!

I do believe that I spend more time on BladeForums than on any other Internet site, bar none, so that tells you what I think about it.

I'm very glad to here about the Survival and Wilderness Forum because that is a topic near and dear to my heart, and I look forward to reading the words of Dr. Hood and Jeff Randall.

People who don't like knives should be condemned to using sporks for all eternity.

4000 members strong and growing. This is still a great Internet site and very wonderful source for all persons of the knife persuasion. I check the site daily.

Keep up the Good Work guys!!!

Spark, I just tried patting myself on the back and dislocated my shoulder.

May I have the name and address of your attorney, please?

Oh and it sure would be cool to know the order in which members joined.

In other words, I'd assume that Mike is #1, Spark is #2, etc., all the way up to 4,000.

I realize this would take many hours of research and even many more hours of typing, therefore, do it in your spare time, so long as it's done by Tuesday morning, ok?

You're thinkin' about deletin' this post now, ain't ya!

heh heh.... don't worry. I was only kidding..... about the lawyer. I was serious about the Member's order of joining.
Just kidding again!

I know, I know..... you just spit milk outta your nose..... sorry.

Anyways, you and Mike are the ones that oughta be patting yourselves on the back (Disclaimer: Vampire Gerbil accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any medical conditions which may arise, etc...) for making this such a great place to hang out.

I've read all kinds of material on blades throughout my life and can honestly say that I've learned more here in one month, than I have in all those years before.

You guys are the ones responsible for putting in all the time and research that it took to make this forum such a pleasure to visit.

Alright, enough of this brown-nosing....
Can you give us moderators an idea of how much of a Christmas Bonus we're to expect? Also, when will you be mailing them?
The man at the Yacht store is pressuring me.

So, THANKS TO YOU, SPARK & MIKE!!!!

All impressed that I learned that big letter stuff,
VG

My compliments to the entire BladeForums team (Owners, Administrators, Moderators and Members) for making this the best spot on the 'Net.

The Survival forum will be a guarenteed hit, thanks again.

I really love this place! Great information, Great entertainment!

Four thousand did seem to come very fast.

Spark,

It would be interesting to know how many senior members we have, and how many members actually post in any given month.
