Hello

Here is th th first new knife I made after getting back to knifemaking.
What started as an odd piece from the end of a K-100 bar ended up as a very practical and objective little neck/pocket knife.
I made id from 5mm thick K-100 and it has a smooth satin finish and a very small and inobtrusive Concealex sheath for pocket or neck carry.
This was a nice project and something I have been thinking about for a while but never got to make it until now. I ended up calling it Machadinho (little axe) due to its profile being similar to an axe head.
Let me know what you think of this one.

Looks like a good way to not waste good steel. Not sure what K100 is - I know K110 is D2 in Australia... and R100 is 52100. I'm working on a similar design myself and these small knives definitely come in handy. I presume its chisel-edged ? Jason.

Hello, Jason

Yes, it was a good way to save some steel at first, but now I have cut about 1/3 of a bar in little pieces to make more of then...
K-100 is Boehler's version of D-3.
As usual with my knives, this one is chisel ground, too.
Here you can see its specs: C-2.0, Si-0.25, Mn-0.3, Cr-11.50.
