Yeah, my custom 110 is still a month away - I waited a while - couldn't stand it - wanted a 'basic' BG-42 blade. Now, maybe I'll see them the same day... or thereabouts. Today, I ordered a Ni bolster, riveted, Fiji orangewood - a simple example - $84. Now, I still can't wait! What do you do for the itchy fingers - anticipating the delivery... impatient? Me??

I hope I am not setting myself up here. Naw, they'll be nice.

no worries mate!!!
me friends at buck 'el takes good care of ya!
sit back enjoy some good tucker and relax with a pint...
wont take long and dey will be there! :D

I have had two customs done by Buck so far, Stainz, and I got the best service I have ever had from any company. I have found that if you order another custom before the last one arrives, you can work a nice monthly delivery pattern. ;)

Update!

A call from Pete today, the very day my original damascus 110 was scheduled to be ready, informed me that the second 110 I ordered - the reason for this thread (Fiji orangewood BG-42/Ni bolsters) - was ready. I was a bit taken back when Pete said he'd have to check on the older order. Gads, I really want that original order - the damascus 110. I suggested they just send them together, if that original order was nearly ready. Still, I am getting anxious!

John ('Stainz') ... finally, a BCCI member!

Well, that first one probably takes a lot longer to make, right? Maybe a longer waiting list, too.

But I'm thinking......

Agh.....you have INSPIRED me to order a bare-bones BG-42 110!!!!

Dad-Blast it!

I haven't physically seen or touched a custom... yet. Hopefully, it will be soon. I nearly ordered another Cabela's $65 AG 110 - just to break the 'drought'. I found another bargain last week - a blister-packed '06 110 with the black leather - from a local Academy Sports - for $23.75, ic s/t. Wow... even that is a 'custom quality' knife. I also ordered a Pro-Line 120 General - due here Tuesday. Gotta keep the Buck 'fix' going!

Yeah, the more I thought about the beautimous damascus I had on order, the more I new I needed a BG-42 blade, too... it's only money... and, who needs to pay homeowner's insurance, property tax, car insurance, or tags this month and next? I wonder if 'they' will take an IOU? Hmmm, maybe Buck's being busy is beneficial?

No! I can't wait!

Stainz

I am thinking that with Stainz we have a 'Buck Golem'...'my preciousssssss'!

Ok.

My BG-42 cherrywood nickel bolster 110 is under construction.

All your fault, Stainz!

:D

As long as it's legal, I agree!

Oh, the brown truck just left me a P-L 120 - mangled box, of course, like the P-L 192, AG 192, and AG 110 I bought earlier. The boxes of bullets I ordered were shipped loose - with a few poly bubbles - certainly not enough, as they slid around into the Buck box. The knife, marked with ID outline ('05), is super - clearly, scarey shaving sharp! I am impressed. It came in the black 'mystery material' leather sheath.

I will punish the evil Buck box squishing bullets by loading them for eventual splattering upon steel plates. I am spending too much time drooling over these knives... my left forearm is almost clean-shaven now...

A call to Pete at Buck's C.S. revealed that indeed my dam knife was in production, something he wasn't sure of when he called yesterday, and should ship with it's brother, the BG-42 110 completed earlier. Also, I will be getting a Kalinga Pro soon as well... bliss. Now to hide the expense... gotta save money... I may have to change my wife's 'dining out' plans for tonite... I hope she doesn't want to super-size her 'Happy Meal'...

PS Why is this so addictive??

That, John, is something we would all like to know. I ,for one, had to make my peace with it. It is what it is......and how I love it, let me tell you what!
