It boggles my mind that Camillus can sell these things so cheap. Thin, light and unobtrusive. And my first attempt at tying a lanyard with an old shoelace didn't come out too shabby, either. Haven't had a chance to use it yet but my intial impression is two thumbs up.

Congrats on the new knife! Those Arclites look great. Are you going to be wearing it as a neck knife or carrying it as a fixed blade pocket knife? I have a little BM 160 Tether Knife that I slip in my pocket now and then.

Been thinking of picking one of them up as an inexpensive way to try my hand at handlemaking. Price is right, blade shape is right up there among my favorites. Blade thickness isn't listed in the specs, how thick is it Frank?

7mm in the sheath. I think I read that works out to 3/32" but my ruler only goes down to the 1/16". Sounds about right. I'm in Kalifornia so by the letter of the law it's got to go on my belt. But I'm hanging it from my belt with my keys on a carabiner. I don't usually tuck in my shirt so this way it's exposed but hiding in plain sight. Legal, handy and inconspicuous. Me likee:D

Thanks Frank, little thinner than I was hoping it would be, but still sounds like a great candidate for what I want to do. Appreciate the info.

A gem! I bought five of them, three in 420HC and two in D-2. Wrapped the handles on a few of them and gave them away as gifts. The 420HC version is cord wrapped and is my neck wear backup when hiking and backpacking. Slim, light, doesn't rust, easy to sharpen. Gonna put handle scales of some kind on the D-2 model. It is a great all-round utility knife. What a value!

Got mine yesterday and I have to say that I like it, great bang-for-the-buck.
But I prefer to not cord-wrap it. It just looks a bit strange on that knife.

It came very sharp, the recurve cuts very well. The handle could be a bit longer, but then again my hands are fairly large. Maybe I should attach a lanyard to it. The sheath is not as bulky as most that come with inexpensive fixed blades.
