..............From My Collection That Is.......!!!!

I have looked past the Mammoth Sebenzas for many years while concentrating on others like CGG/UG's, Regular's & Wood Inlays. I can now finally say I am a proud owner of a Mammoth Sebenza. Not just any Mammoth, but a Large Classic Mammoth. I have always loved the Classic MM on the back of the sebenzas made several years ago. While I still have several small sebenzas, my heart has always been with the large. They just fit me and my hand so much better.

I purchased it from fellow BF Member Falco57. Great guy to deal with and talk to. Started talking about another sebenza over on my CRK-BST page on facebook and it went from there. After purchasing, it was a long 14 day wait with International Shipping as it came from Italy. What made it worse is that from my home, USPS site did not recognize the tracking number. At day 12, I happened to be at the PO and was talking to the lady and she said she would give it a try. Low and behold it was in the US and would be delivered the next day. USPS site from still does not recognize the number......so for all you guys/gals out there possibly dealing with something similar, check out the PO themselves.

Today I took it apart and cleaned it up ( not like it needed it ). I have pretty much always done so with a used sebenza to make it "mine". I know we all have a new to us CRK ritual......Be truthful, WE ALL DO.....lol.

Blade S30V, my favorite. Marked with a "C" signifying Classic. Lockup and centering is great also. I have never been a fan of the screws being flipped the other way, but on this one, it looks fitting. And since this is the way I first seen it and how it came to me, this is how it will stay....!

As for the Mammoth, its a cross between plain ivory and bark. It has the lines you traditionally see of ivory with a dash of Bark to top it off. Beautiful soft cream color throughout. Its just absolutely beautiful. Its nice and smooth also. I will be putting some renaissance wax on it to help protect and preserve it ( when I find it.....lol...The WAX that is ).

All in all, its been a great experience. Working on a deal with a longtime forum member and finally finding a sebenza that has eluded me in all my years of collecting CRK. Falco57 was great in aiding in the tracking as it was in italian and I was unable to translate. Again, Thank You Kind Sir and Thank Bladeforums for being what it is.....The Best Damn Knife Forum for us CRK Fans.

Cell Phone pics........but they came out pretty good. Cant find my camera......I think its with the WAX......

Your Welcome. I was going to buy that one. But when he had a large, large it was. You have no idea how hard it was turning that one down.....lol.

Glad you did! I'm not really collecting mammoth the way I do UG's, but I am picking up a few while I still can, preferring hard to find colors.

Great knife. I am glad you like it.

BF friends has been always nice with me during these years (despite my bad English LOL) and is a pleasure can help someone in the forum to get his grail as you all did and still do with me.

Thanks All, I just realized that I forgot to put the original lanyard on that was in the box. That's definitely going on...!!!

Congratulations Thomas! You finally found and caught that which always eluded you. And she is a beauty! The Striations and the creamed colored Mammoth Barks are my favorite!

Being a Classic just makes it even sweeter! I am starting to admire and look at the Classic Sebenzas at a different light now after getting my first one a week ago.

Congratulations again and use her well.... :)

What a beauty!! Probably the most beautiful mammoth I've seen!! Yes . . . I'm jealous!!!!!!!!!

Nice one! I like how they laid the inlays too. I agree, i also like the MM and the screws in opposite! Looks good on this knife. Congrats on an awesome acquisition!

I especially like how well they match. On many of the mammoth and even wood inlays for that matter, the front side differs greatly from the backside. This looks like it was cut from the same piece.
