I called crk to help me with my lockup issue. I asked Heather if she knew of

anyone that a problem releasing the umnun lock. She put me on hold, came

back and told me Chris would call me back soon. He called about 20 min.

later...he was very helpful ...told me how he realsed the umnun lock as he

was holding an umnun in his hand.

He had read the post i had . He mentioned the comment by Fooj about the

ball lockup in center of lockbar. Its nice to know that the owner of a comp-

any can take time to show so much personal interest with a customer!!

Thats a great story......... :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: Rickster :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

I still don't get it....you release the lock by simply pushing it to the side with yur thumb.

Whats the problem ?

bigmark408: some people have trouble figuring it out, particularly how to hold the knife so that you're not squeezing both sides of the lock bar at the same time.

A lot of people who borrow my Sebenza try for a few seconds then apologize and hand it back to me to close.

It's easy to forget that not everyone has it down to muscle memory. The same thing happens with locking the slide back on semi-autos: I find it easy, but my wife finds it difficult with her smaller hands and less practice (she's a revolver girl).

Now i get it..Seriously...i never would have guessed....it's kinda like walking and chewing bubble gum. :D

Bigmark408 when i got my umnun I had a couple of cuts on my rt. thumb...

they still havent healed yet. They (the cuts) made it hard for me to use my

sore thumb. I was using the corrrect position but some pain. Cuts have

almost healed now. Easy now..... with a new umnun I wanted to use it

right away with cuts. That was most of my problem.

Same here, almost everyone who I show a framelock or linerlock... can't seem to figure out how to close it. They just look at me (apologetically) and hand it back.

I think walking & chewing gum at the same time (tough as it is), might be even easier.
