Here are some pictures of the knife Dan gave me that I had told you guys about. The sheath is one I made, but everything else about this knife is all Dan. It's a great knife and I beat the absolute crap out of it. Also, just a little more proof that an 1/8" thick knife with proper steel and heat treat can stand up to the worst abuse... me. Any bangs and scratches you see are from use. The knife was perfect when he gave it to me.

Boy did Dylan ever beat that knife up too. Drilling, batonning. Zero ground Scandi on 1/8" 01.

1/8" is thick as a knife ever needs to be IMPO, but opinions are like bung holes, everyone has one but everyones elses stinks! :)

I agree with that completely. Especially anything under the 6 or 7" range. The smaller it is the thinner it should be IMO.

Looks great Dan! Your handle work is really nice too.

Nice lines, reminds me of the older navy UDT knives. 1/8 stock is perfect on a lot of knives. I like 1/8 stock for that type of grind especially...as long as the blade isn't "too" long. I'm not big into flex in my knives so on saber grinds and longer blades I much prefer 5/32.

sort of an instant classic

great looking knife!

I like that a lot

Dylan thanks for posting the picks and the kind words. I have to admit I was a little concerned when you put it threw it's paces. Thank you to both you and andy for all the time and knowledge you have shared with me, So much of what I have learned from y'all you just don't find in a book.

That's what I was thinking. It has that Mark ll appeal to it. Fierce looking little beastie.
