Folks I give you the Mini Cherokee Rose.

My example weighs in at 10.05 ounces and is precisely 10'' overall length.

A nice little decoration on the handle end that might come in handy for folks that like to crush stuff and looks good too.

The swage on mine is SHARP and the blade is also very sharp, probably the sharpest HI knife I've ever received. It needs nothing to be ready to go to work. Not legal in these parts but we'll not dwell on that. Rules and laws are often times made to be stretched and interpreted a bit.

The handle is perfect for my hand size and I suspect it's as close to a one size fits most as you'll ever find. Plenty of length for big hands and the diameter is a very happy medium. I'm the epitome of average and it's perfect for me.
Feels good with thumb on guard.

Or the more traditional grip, bearing in mind that I'm a lover, not a fighter and this is for cutting, not bickering. I have bang sticks for that.

Good shot of the blade. I've done nothing to it yet other than wipe the oil off it and of course the drool several times.

The mark of Bahkta, my hero when it comes to bowies, right next to Bura in my book and I sadly don't have a Bura to compare to, I think ndog has them all......sob sob....

I'll start another post before it says I'm too big for this one and my britches at the same time.

Since I have the morning off awaiting to take my wife downtown for a Dr visit prior to a surgery on Thursday I thought I'd do a little comparison.

Here's my full line up of bowie like knives. At the top is my last acquistion along with the bottom one, sold as a pair if you may recall.
The top is a 16'' Lachu and a beast of a knife it is, but ain't she sweet. Below that is a 10" Bahkta that I carried for quite awhile prior to the IBBB's introduction.
The fourth one down is by the new Kami Ram? I've hankered for the big one and wanted to see Ram's version of the IBBB? He's got it mostly right for sure. The handle was a bit slim so I knocked it off and put some Zebra wood on it and used grip eschutions so I can remove it if desired. I'm not totally happy with it and may start over. Ram did such a good job it deserves the best.

Here's a bit better shot of the smaller ones.
The micro Rose up top, my first original IBBB what I hung some elk antler on, a recent original size Bhakta and the Ram which has the inch longer handle. Ram has talent as mentioned before.

Bit of a front angle on the business end.

My antler handled daily carry weighs in at 8.04 and it 8"

The recent Bhakta original size tips the scale at 8.78. It's 8 1/8" long. I will leave this one untouched for a spare. I was surprised it weighed a tiny bit more than my antler handled one??

And lastly the Ram bowie is 7.62 ounces. The tang is quite slender reducing the weight. It's 8 3/4" long

The Micro Rose and the 10" Bowie are very very close in length, I carried the 10" bowie enough I don't think there will be any problem at all carrying the Rose. Still not sure it'll full time replace my IBBB but it's too durn nice to leave at home and not get some travel time.
I think either would make a terrific hunting knife. The Rose with the guard might have the edge when your hands get nasty and slippery. Blade good shape for skinning and tough enough for the heavy stuff.

Well time to gear up for a trip downtown. Checklist. 1911, 3 mags, Kahr PM45, IBBB/Micro Rose???? will go IBBB, need pants for the Rose, Wits, self control, guess I'm ready.

Great pix and post, thank you for sharing
