The 91mm Waiter Plus (international/Swiss model # 1.3305) is probably the maximal Minimalist's SAK :p

On a single backpring/layer it has 12 functions -

1. Large Blade
Combination Tool - with
- 2. Bottle-Cap Lifter
- 3. Can Opener
- 4. Screwdriver
- 5. Wire Stripper
6. Key Ring
7. Toothpick
8. Tweezers
9. Corkscrew
10. BallPen
11. Straight Pin
12. Mini (jeweller's) screwdriver

there is also an unofficial 13th function - the corner of the screwdriver on the Combo tool can also be used for Phillips screws......

I think it's pretty neat,
and hard to beat....

Any advances on 13 functions per layer/backspring?

Since I am a n00b I have three questions for you Vincent:

1. I can't seem to find a 91mm Waiter, I only see 84mm. Is the 91mm an older model? Where could I find a 91mm version?

2. I am familiar with where the toothpick, tweezers and the mini screwdriver are stored, but I don't see where the straight pin or the ball pen are stored. Do you have any pictures with everything stored properly to show how it all fits together?

3. I always see that you post a model number and they all seem to have decimals in them. I tried putting one of these numbers into the search feature on swissarmy.com but it comes up with no results. What website are you using that uses a searchable catalogue that shows these model numbers?

Vincent states: "The 91mm Waiter Plus (international/Swiss model # 1.3305)". Perhaps Vincent can definitelty answer your question, but I believe the product number are the European product numbers. I checked on the Victoinox website (their official Swiss website www.victorinox.com) and could not find the model that Vincent describes, but I did find Waiter (0.3303 ): http://www.victorinox.com/newsite/en/produkte/taschen/inhalt2.cfm?pid=0-3303

If you look on the US swissarmy.com website the Waiter is listed with the product number of #53891 : http://www.swissarmy.com/webstore/moreinfo.cfm?product_id=1801&category=39

I don't see a plus version of the Waiter on either site.

The box in Vincent's picture looks quite old and not of the type that they currently use (in the US anyway), so perhaps it is a discontinued model?

The pen is stored next to the toothpick or tweesers (I can't remember which off hand and don't have a model on me that has it). Other plus versions have a pen such as the Explorer Plus. The SwissChamp is also a model that has the pen.

Vincent, I wondered how long it was going to take you to pick up one of these. ;)

backwards... :D

3. the international/Swiss model #s I quote are the actual model #s used by Victorinox themselves, and just about everywhere in the world EXCEPT the USA - which has a unique model numbering sytem that, as far as I tell, is arbitarily assigned by SwissArmy Brands.
Victorinox does have a (logical) system to its numbering - get access to SOSAK and read about it at:

Victorinox model numbering system?

I use the Swiss/international #s when searching on google/yahoo for models not generally available in the USA

look carefully, the straight pin is near the base of the corkscrew.

1. The 91mm Waiter Plus (and I'm not even sure if that is an official name) model 1.3305 - I think is pretty rare - I had not heard of it until recently when there was a post on SOSAK. They were found on eBay, and bought from Singapore.

Thanks a million Vincent, that picture helps a ton. I'be begun the process of getting into SOSAK as you recommended. I think this Waiter Plus might be the best SAK out there for me.

Ok where exactly would one find one of these SAKs? I don't care about model numbers and such, it's not helping haha.. So yeah, where? :D

After trying lots of folders and multitools, I've fallen in love again with the regular SAKs.
I started carrying my Soldier all the time (in addition to a big one-blade folder, usually). It's a great tool.

That is the guy I found that had them too. It took me like 2 hours to find someone who had them. Once I found them I was going to post and be the hero, but it looks like I am a little late. I ordered one, now time for the sleepless nights waiting for it to arrive!
