Dear Members,
I was in the North Woods of Northern America when this took place. In fact where we go is so far off the grid that there is no phone service or T.V. reception. When we were on our way back and passed into phone service, I had received 22 messages. None of them were good. The date was August 5, 2011. As you all know it was the day that a lone Taliban fighter with an RPG took the lives of 30 courageous warriors. Of that number 22 were NSW personnel and one NSW canine named Bart. It was the hardest hit that NSW has ever taken in one blow. I wont go into details but this tragedy left many wives and children without their loved ones and fathers. We went to work immediately on several projects working both with Command and the Naval Special Warfare Foundation. [I have held back on announcing anything until I had the first product finished.]
We have been commissioned to produce a run of special knives for the NSWF that will be auctioned, sold or raffled off to raise money for the families. The knives will be marked with the appropriate engraving to memorialize the tragedy that took place. I will update you all on the details regarding the availability of those knives when the NSWF has determined how they will be dispersing them.
The Other Project
I have created a Memorial 6 that we will be putting up for auction. As you know the CQC-6 was and is a SEAL knife from the day of its inception and continuing to today.
It is a very special model of the CQC-6 and all the details can be found at the auction site. The knife comes with two blades. One is the actual combat ready 154 CM steel blade and the other blade is ground from steel cut directly from an I-Beam taken from the wreckage of the World Trade Center Buildings destroyed by Islamist terrorists on 9-11-01.
Go to http://www.emersonknives.com/auction/auction_details.php?name=The-Memorial-6&auction_id=100150 to view the knives and participate in the auction. We will also be taking donations in case you just want to chip in something for this worthy cause.
There will be national radio interview announcements regarding the project and auction and some national TV coverage is being planned.
100% of all money collected will be given through an official liaison directly to the families that were left behind. No admin or bureaucratize hands will be able to take any out.
Please be generous, there are many who need your help and support as a result of this loss.
Best Regards,
Ernest R. Emerson
