I got one after getting an old C25 earlier in the year. Like most knives the Memory has pros and cons.
Pros :
Probably the one of the more "conventional" looking Spydercos in the office carry role
Very nice size (blade length, closed size, weight, pretty much everything) for office carry, I have a full 4 finger grip on the handle.
I really like the filework on the back spacer
I prefer the blade shape to the wharnie shape of the C25 - more functional for my uses
No "lost" edge length on the blade (blade length = edge length)
VG10 works very well for me
Cons :
I'm still getting my head around the blue ano. I would have preferred blasted Ti.
I would have preferred a little bit more grip in the handle shape - I've had wet cold hands slide forward on a Kershaw Liner Action (very similar shape) that almost ended in lots of blood
My particular example has a very late lock-up but I can live with it
Personally I think the detail of the screws on the reverse side could have been addressed better given that this is a gents / dress knife
If you are more OCD than me, the fact that the scales (ignoring the onlay) are not the same thickness might bug you
Not lefty friendly (not an issue for me)
Tip down carry - also not an issue for me, I've removed the clip (and would have removed the onlay if it didn't leave ugly holes)
The Memory is part of my week day office rotation but doesn't get as much carry time as, for example, my Insingo, my Mcustas, some of my customs or even my Caly 3 but it probably gets pocket time once a fortnight and when it does, it works well and I'm pleased to have it with me.
Edit : not sure what material the liner is, sorry
