Hello there everyone. Happy New Year. New here. Being in this hobby for about 10 years now. Recently got the new Microtech msi. Carrying it for around 3 weeks. use it hard, testing it. all around good stuff though. But I do notice some issues here, I wonder if anyone has the same problems here.

Slowly roll the blade open, and lock up great solid, thumb flicking it open is also ok, but with a middle finger flick your palm easily touches the lock. When it happens, the lock rock happens. This is not a big issue. Here is an important one. I flick the knife open no blade plays, I stab the carton box 5-7 times, and the lock rock happens, also I try to start to cut the boxes, and after a few cuts, the lock rock happens again. Every time you do or have some impact on the blade, lock rock happens. But is not disengaged. I wonder if anyone has the same issue as I do.

But all in all, I just can’t get rid of this knife, fun to play with, Comfortable to work with, has great ergonomics for me, big and tough blades. deep carry.

I haven't noticed that on mine.....but I haven't stabbed stuff with it either. just done normal cutting tasks with it.....

From personal experience, Microtech has some QC issues with their US made production knives. Some batches turn out fine, other batches can have issues. Call Microtech Warranty to get a Ticket #, then send your knife in with a description of the problem. They'll make it right for you, just be prepared to wait about a month and a half to two months.

Thx for the advice Mako, I will try to use it a little bit longer to see what happens.
